I met “28” at the recent Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Organization conference at the United Nations. The staff in the UN Delegates Dining Room, where the machine was placed, was amazed at how fast the device makes water: the 28 generates up to seven gallons of water a day and can also cool or heat the water.
The invention can also be used as a reverse osmosis water filtration system, enabling it to purify up to 50 gallons of tap or well water a day. The 28 can even be connected to an ice maker or external tanks that can store purified water.
With the 28, there’s no need to order bottled water for your water cooler and have it trucked to your home or office. EcoloBlue sells biodegradable plastic bottles should you not want to fill up your metal SIGG bottle to take water on the go. Each gallon uses 20 cents of electricity to be made. Despite the initial investment of about $1,300, you’ll save real money in the long term and cut down your carbon footprint.
